Emerald City Enhanced Services – Lakewood, WA
Starting Pay: $30–$40 per hour + 5% weekend and 10% night shift differentials

Schedule Requirement:
Per-diem/Vacation Relief/On-Call coverage during Nightshift hours (7:00pm–7:30am), scheduled based on operational needs.

Per-diem LPNs must be available to work a minimum of one (1) shift per month to remain active.


Position Summary

Licensed Practical Nurses are responsible for providing basic nursing care that is intended to rehabilitate our residents back into the community and to maintain their health. These professionals are also responsible for assessing patients, administering medications, and performing routine tests.


What You’ll Do

Provide direct nursing care and clinical oversight within our 16-bed Enhanced Services Facility serving adults with complex behavioral and mental health needs.

Serve as shift leader, maintaining clinical authority and supporting team operations during assigned shifts. (LPNs are the highest licensed clinicians on duty during night shifts.)

Administer medications, including oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications, in accordance with provider orders and facility policy.

Coordinate lab services and medication-related follow-up.

Perform focused nursing assessments as needed (e.g., skin integrity, medical concerns) and respond appropriately to changes in condition.

Monitor residents’ response to treatment and report changes in physical or behavioral status.

Complete medication reconciliation and conduct MAR audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Complete incident documentation and required clinical reports.

Coordinate with outside providers, pharmacies, and ancillary services to ensure continuity of care.

Promote a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for residents and staff.


The Ideal Candidate

Demonstrates confidence working independently and leading a shift.

Has 1 year experience (preferred) in behavioral health, residential care, long-term care, or community mental health settings.

Maintains strong medication administration and documentation skills.

Communicates clearly and professionally with residents, families, providers, and team members.

Remains calm, organized, and clinically sound in dynamic environments.


Basic Requirements

Active Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.

Experience in behavioral or residential healthcare settings preferred.

Strong assessment, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
