Starting Pay: $21–$23 per hour + shift differentials

Schedule: Per-Diem/Vacation Relief/On-Call Days 7:00am - 7:30pm and/or 7:00pm - 7:00am

At Emerald City Enhanced Services (ECES), we provide 24/7 support in a welcoming, home-like environment for adults living with behavioral health challenges. As a Behavioral/Mental Health Technician (BHT)(MHT), you’ll play a vital role in helping our residents build stability, independence, and quality of life.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide direct care and daily support to residents in our 16-bed enhanced services facility.

  • Encourage participation in life skills, groups, and recreational activities.

  • Assist with activities of daily living, including meals, hygiene, and personal care.

  • Support licensed staff in implementing individualized treatment plans.

  • Accurately document resident progress and interventions.

  • Promote a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment for all.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Has prior experience in behavioral/mental health, long-term care, or direct support; or

  • Demonstrates a strong passion for mental and behavioral health (psych) and a desire to learn.

  • Brings compassion, patience, and the ability to stay calm in challenging situations.

  • Works well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.


Basic Requirements

  • Possess an active Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) or Home Care Aide (HCA) credential in Washington State.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

About ECES

Emerald City Enhanced Services is a small, 16 bed community-based residential setting in Lakewood, WA designed to provide skilled professional care for adults who require assistance with managing behavioral healthcare. It is a home-like setting similar to an Adult Family Home or an Assisted Living Facility, and residents can enjoy an environment that offers many opportunities for social interaction geared toward providing comfort and privacy in addition to maximizing independence.

Do you currently hold an active Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) or Home Care Aide (HCA) credential in Washington State?

Are you able to provide proof of TB testing (QuantiFERON Gold blood test)

Working in an Enhanced Services Facility can involve residents with behavioral challenges, mental health diagnoses, and personal care needs. Are you comfortable supporting this population?
